Spring Break Message from our Principal to Chapin Community
Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak within our city, state, and country, our Chapin Husky community has begun to adjust to our “New Normal”.
Here at Chapin High School, I want to assure everyone that our highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of all our Chapin Husky Family. If anyone is in need of any assistance as we navigate these uncharted situations that are rapidly changing, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will do my best to get what you need. I urge our entire community to adhere to the CDC recommendations to wash your hands regularly, limit you contact to groups of more than ten, and to practice social distancing as much as possible. If everyone does their part, hopefully, this pandemic will be short lived.
Along with the safety and wellbeing of our community, Chapin High School is committed to offering the best possible online instruction to all our students. Parents and students need to be aware that online instruction will begin on Monday, March 30.
In conjunction with the EPISD leadership team, our teachers and staff will be attending virtual professional development sessions during the week of March 23-March 27 to plan and implement our online instructional programs.
Additionally, throughout this week Chapin teachers will be contacting students to ensure they and their families are well, and to pass on information about our shift to the online learning environment.
I ask that students and parents closely monitor our website and student district email and Schoology accounts to receive the most recent updates and announcements.
Again, I want to assure everyone that Chapin High School is committed to assisting in anyway our Husky family needs and to remind everyone that we are all in this together. Chapin has always bonded as a community in tough times and I know we will be able to do the same during these difficult times ahead of us.
