Welcome Back (Updated Info): Huskies Prepare for Campus Return 19 January

  • Beginning Tuesday January 19 all students who have chosen face to face instruction will be allowed to return to the classroom according to the following schedule:

  • For the week of January 19, students with last names starting with A-L will report to school on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 19 and 20.

  • Students with the last names starting with M-Z will report to school on Thursday and Friday, January 21 and 22.

  • All students will continue to work remotely on when not scheduled to be on Chapin’s campus.

  • Starting the week of January 25, and moving forward throughout the semester, in person instruction will be provided according to the following schedule:

  • Students with the last name starting with A-L will be in school on Mondays and Tuesdays.

  • Students with the last name starting with M-Z will be in school Thursdays and Fridays.

  • All students will work remotely on Wednesdays, and when not in the building.

  • In order to familiarize incoming freshman and new students who have never seen our campus and to answer any further questions about reopening, Chapin will be hosting an open house on Saturday January 16 from 9 AM until 12:00 PM.

  • Students can walk the campus and learn where to go while they attend on campus instruction.

  • Any Saturday visitors will be required to follow social distancing guidelines and to wear a mask the entire time on campus.

  • If interested in attending, please enter the building through the main entrance so we can take temperatures.

  • Administration and student leaders will be available for tours and to answer any questions as needed.

  • Lastly, in order to allow adequate transition time between classes, Chapin will be following a new bell schedule beginning Tuesday January 19.

  • A copy of the new bell schedule has been emailed to all parents whose email addresses we have on file. The schedule is also available on our Chapin website as well.

  • This schedule will apply to all face to face students and virtual students beginning Tuesday January 19

  • Students will need to bring their laptops and charges every day while on campus

 

  • Wearing of masks and social distancing is mandatory at all times while on campus.

  • Please check schoology for the room numbers for your first period class

  • The campus will be closed for all lunches. Students will not be allowed to leave for lunch. Lunch will be served outside during both lunches. Breakfast will be served daily outside starting at 7:15 AM

 

  • Students will not be able to enter the building until 8:00 AM

  • Water fountains will not be available for use, so students should bring their own water bottles.

  • If possible, students should bring headphones for use in classroom instruction to help reduce the interference from other computers.
