The EPISD Education Foundation awarded the Amy Boatright Memorial Scholarship today to Burges senior Jesus Gallardo. Amy Boatright, who passed away recently, was a Burges graduate and beloved EPISD employee who served the district for 30 years as a teacher and in staff development. She loved Burges and science – both characteristics exemplified by Jesus. The award was presented to Jesus by Amy’s brother and sister-in-law David and Lisa Boatright and her EPISD family from Staff Development.
