BOWIE HIGH SENIORS CARRY FORWARD PRIDE AND TRADITION

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 10, 2026) — Bowie High School proudly celebrated the accomplishments of approximately 220 graduates as the Class of 2026 crossed the stage and prepared to begin the next chapter of their lives.

Leading the class were Valedictorian Derek Montana and Salutatorian Amy Acevedo-Grado, whose academic excellence and dedication earned them the highest academic honors among their classmates.

The campus also recognized Chris Perez as the All Bowie recipient, an honor awarded to a student who exemplifies academic achievement, leadership, character, and service to the school community.

Among the notable graduates of the Class of 2026 is Johan Camacho, whose accomplishments reflect the talent and determination found throughout this year's graduating class.

The Class of 2026 also leaves behind a strong athletic legacy. Nine Bowie student-athletes have signed to continue both their education and athletic careers at colleges and universities, demonstrating the dedication, discipline, and perseverance required to succeed both in the classroom and in competition.

"This year's graduates remind us of the strength, resilience, and pride that have defined this campus for generations," said Principal Rose Gandarilla. "We are incredibly proud of our graduates and look forward to seeing the many ways they will continue to make a difference in their communities and beyond."

Since opening its doors, Bowie High School has remained a cornerstone of the South El Paso community, fostering academic achievement, school pride, and a commitment to excellence.

As the graduates prepare for their next steps, they carry forward the proud traditions of Bowie High School while building new opportunities for themselves and their communities.

El Paso ISD congratulates the Bowie High School Class of 2026 and wishes its graduates continued success as they pursue their goals and make a positive impact wherever their journeys take them.
