(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – May 21, 2024) — In a remarkable display of academic prowess, 45 freshmen and sophomores from Andress High School have been recognized for their outstanding achievements in the dual credit program.
This celebration marks a significant milestone for the Andress P-Tech community in their second year, showcasing the dedication and commitment of its students and support staff.
Collectively, these students have amassed an impressive 153 college credit hours, translating to over $20,000 in tuition savings at El Paso Community College. This achievement speaks volumes about the determination and drive of the students involved.
Each Andress P-Tech student brings a unique set of goals to the table, whether it’s academic growth, honing time management skills, or enhancing social interactions. The 45 students were recognized for their grit and determination. Many of them took their first dual credit class entirely online, taught by college instructors. This online format provides students across El Paso ISD with convenience and accessibility and equipping them with valuable skills and knowledge.
