(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – May 16, 2024) — A trio of El Paso ISD student-athletes signed their college commitment letters during a special event at Jefferson High School on Wednesday, May 15.
Victoria Barragan, Diego Neri and Francisco Reyes, all seniors at Jefferson, have chosen to continue their education and athletic careers at the collegiate level in pursuit of their dreams.

“I’m going to miss my friends at Jefferson, but I’m really excited for this new change.” Barragan said. “I’m most excited about the new people I’m going to meet. Everyone was very friendly at the university I’m going to attend.”

“I feel great about this next step. I’m also proud to share this celebration with my family and friends.” Neri said. “I’m going to miss my teammates and the moments we shared together on the field.”
Francisco Reyes, Senior

“This was a great experience, but I’ll miss the way my teammates treated me as a brother, as a family member. I was close with them and I’m proud of them,” Reyes said. “Playing professional soccer has always been a goal of mine since I was a kid and hopefully this gets me one more step closer to it.”
