(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – November 22, 2024) — Aoy Elementary School has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the El Paso Community Foundation to support its students and enhance their educational experience.
The generous grant will be used to purchase essential supplies such as, school uniforms, backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other items students need in the classroom. This initiative aims to alleviate financial burdens on families while ensuring that every child has the resources they need to thrive in a positive and supportive learning environment.
Principal Mary Arnold expressed gratitude for the foundation's commitment to supporting education in the region.
“This grant from the El Paso Community Foundation is a tremendous gift for our students and families,” said Principal Arnold. “By providing uniforms and supplies, we are fostering a sense of community and helping students focus on their education without worrying about basic needs.
