Dear El Paso ISD Community,

We are writing to clarify a recent error in communication regarding the district’s curriculum plans.

A statement was recently issued that incorrectly suggested El Paso ISD would transition to the Bluebonnet curriculum. This was a human error, and we want to assure you that there is not a plan at this time to adopt the Bluebonnet curriculum.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion and concern this error may have caused. The district remains fully committed to our in-house curriculum, supported by high-quality instructional materials, including Amplify, Eureka, and Carnegie. These resources align with the goals of our Strategic Blueprint: Hopes and Dreams Realized 2022-2025, which reflects our shared commitment to academic excellence, equity, and providing all students with the tools they need to succeed.

It is also important to emphasize the vital role our families, staff, and community play in ensuring district decisions reflect our shared values and priorities. Representation matters, and we are committed to fostering meaningful opportunities for your voices to shape decisions that impact our students. Your partnership is essential to our success.

Thank you for your understanding, trust, and continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to your campus or visit our website for additional updates.

Sincerely,

Diana Sayavedra,

Superintendent
