Teacher in a classroom

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – January 23, 2025) — El Paso ISD is inviting educators and professionals to explore new opportunities at a hiring fair on Saturday, January 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bowie High School Cafeteria. The district is hiring for all positions at Murphree PK-8, Tinajero PK-8, and Guillen Middle School, which are set to adopt the Accelerated Campus Excellence (ACE) model in the 2025–26 school year.

The ACE model is a proven framework for enhancing student achievement through a holistic approach to education. Supported by the Texas Education Agency’s Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO) grant, the model focuses on five foundational pillars:

• Effective principals and teachers

• Instructional excellence

• Extended school day

• Social and emotional support

• Parent and community partnerships

EPISD is implementing the ACE model to replicate the success of Canyon Hills Middle School, which adopted the framework two years ago and has since achieved a double-digit increase in academic performance. Canyon Hills is now the district’s third-highest performing middle school, demonstrating the model’s ability to transform student outcomes.

“The ACE model is a transformative initiative designed to provide our students with the tools and resources they need to excel academically and grow holistically,” said Superintendent Diana Sayavedra. “By equipping students with the tools and support they need to thrive academically and personally, we are creating pathways for brighter futures. This initiative is about more than just improving test scores—it’s about fostering a culture of excellence that empowers every learner.”

Applicants attending the hiring fair are encouraged to bring their resumes to explore the opportunities available at the ACE campuses. The district offers stipend opportunities for all positions, further supporting its commitment to attracting and retaining exceptional talent.

“This hiring fair represents an important step in building a strong team of educators and professionals who are dedicated to driving student success and creating an environment where every child can thrive,” Sayavedra added.
