(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — April 09, 2025) — This week, El Paso ISD proudly celebrates National Assistant Principals Week, honoring the exceptional leadership, dedication, and hard work of assistant principals across the district.
From April 7–11, we recognize the crucial role these educational leaders play in ensuring student success and supporting thriving school communities. Whether they are managing day-to-day operations, guiding instructional practices, mentoring staff, or building meaningful relationships with students and families, El Paso ISD assistant principals are the backbone of our campuses.
“Our assistant principals are often the unsung heroes of our schools,” said Superintendent Diana Sayavedra. “They lead with integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Their impact reaches every corner of our classrooms and campuses, and we are deeply grateful for the vital role they play in shaping student achievement and school culture.”
El Paso ISD assistant principals support teachers and students at all grade levels—from early childhood through high school—and serve as key partners to principals in promoting safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments. Their ability to lead with both heart and skill helps keep schools running smoothly and students focused on learning.
As we celebrate this week, El Paso ISD encourages students, staff, and families to take a moment to thank their assistant principals for their tireless efforts, positive leadership, and dedication to student success.
We are grateful for our APs every single day:
