This historic day marks more than just high school graduation—it represents a transformational step forward for education in El Paso ISD. Through their time in the district’s P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) and ECHS (Early College High School) programs, students earned not only high school diplomas but also associate degrees, workforce certifications, and real-world experience that will open doors to college and career pathways.

The day's accomplishments included:

TMECHS: 53 students earned Associate of Science degrees, in addition to 17 students who graduated early in December and have already begun their college coursework at UTEP.

Franklin: 10 students received Level I Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificates. In addition, 33 students completed Associate degrees.

Coronado: 28 students earned Associate of Arts degrees in Accounting, Business, and Economics. Many of these graduates also earned their Advanced Accounting Industry-Based Certification and served as volunteer tax preparers through a partnership with GECU’s VITA program.

Burges Early College High School (BECHS):  70 students earned Associate of Arts degrees in Multidisciplinary Studies, with 13 additional students having graduated early in December that attended UTEP this Spring.

Jefferson: 7 graduates earned their Associate degrees and workforce certifications in the medical field, preparing them to join the healthcare industry with confidence.  In addition, 5 seniors earned their EMT Certificates and are ready to enter the workforce.

Next year, EPISD will celebrate additional P-TECH graduates from six additional campuses, along with an increased number of students earning Level 1 Certificates from an expanded group of schools. These include:

  • Bowie P-TECH and Andress P-TECH – Associate of Arts in Teaching

  • Austin P-TECH, Chapin P-TECH, and El Paso P-TECH – Associate of Arts in Computer Science

  • Irvin P-TECH – Associate of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on science & EMT Level 1 certificates

These accomplishments reflect the continued growth and success of the P-TECH initiative across the district.

The success of this year’s graduates is a reflection of El Paso ISD’s bold commitment to innovation, equity, and workforce development. As the district continues to expand its early college and career readiness programs, more students will have the opportunity to graduate with a head start in life.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025—El Paso ISD is proud to be your launchpad to success.
