Council of PTAs

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — May 23, 2025) — The El Paso ISD Council of PTAs is making a greater impact than ever before, awarding a total of $7,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors this year. In a significant expansion of its program, the Council presented $1,000 scholarships to seven students from high schools with active PTA or PTSA chapters.

PTA LuncheonTraditionally awarding two $500 scholarships each year, the Council dramatically grew the program in 2025 to guarantee one scholarship per participating high school, with each award valued at $1,000—doubling the previous minimum amount and extending its reach across the district.

“This is about empowering our students and showing them that their hard work is seen and valued,” said El Paso ISD Council of PTAs President Lauren Steinmann. “We’re proud to help open doors for these exceptional students as they take the next step toward their future.”
