Dear El Paso ISD Community,
As I reflect on the many milestones celebrated across our district these past few weeks—graduations, end of school year celebrations, retirements—I am reminded of the heart and purpose that define El Paso ISD. Like many of you, I have experienced these moments not just as an educator and leader, but as a parent, proudly watching my own children and grandchildren walk the halls of our schools, shaped by the care of dedicated teachers and the support of this incredible community.
It is with that same sense of pride and purpose that I now step into the role of Interim Superintendent of Schools. My journey in education began here in El Paso ISD, and over the years, I have been fortunate to serve in various roles, including Chief Financial Officer. These experiences—both personal and professional—have deepened my commitment to the mission of our district and the success of every student we serve. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated educators, staff, and leaders who share a common purpose: to provide every student with access to high-quality educational opportunities.
El Paso ISD is strong because of the people who make it so. I am proud of the team we have in place—dedicated professionals who bring talent, heart, and a shared belief in the potential of every child. Together, we will continue to strengthen our systems, ensure the sustainability and stability of our district, and continue to deliver access to high-quality public education for all students.
