(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — Nov. 3, 2025) — El Paso ISD students are ready to bring science to life in one of the region’s most exciting hands-on STEM events. On Saturday, Nov. 8, twelve EPISD campuses will step into the spotlight at KTSM’s annual WeatherFest and The More You Know Expo at The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso. The family-friendly event starts at 10 a.m. and is free to the public.
Hosted by KTSM-TV, WeatherFest invites students from across the Borderland to showcase their creativity, meteorology knowledge, and scientific problem-solving skills. EPISD campuses will compete against peers from Gadsden ISD for the coveted Ultimate Weather Warrior Award.
The event also features local vendors, hands-on activities, live entertainment, and educational opportunities through The More You Know Expo.
Several of this year’s WeatherFest projects come from EPISD’s new elementary academies, launched this school year to give students hands-on, future-focused learning experiences. These academies are a major milestone in the district’s work to bring specialized instruction and enriched learning to families across the region.
