(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — Nov. 5, 2025) — The El Paso ISD Board of Trustees has received the Leadership Profile Report that will guide the next phase of the superintendent search, reflecting feedback gathered from families, staff, and community members.
The Leadership Profile defines the qualities, experience, and vision the El Paso community prioritizes in its next educational leader.
Developed by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services with extensive community input, the report reflects a comprehensive process that included community meetings across the district, and an online questionnaire open to families, staff, students, and community members. Over 1,000 responses were submitted, providing trustees with meaningful insight into the priorities and expectations of the community.
Some characteristics identified in the Leadership Profile include:
Visionary leadership
Expertise and commitment to academic excellence
Deep understanding of and commitment to act in the best interest of the community
“We appreciate the thoughtful feedback our community shared throughout this process,” Board President Leah Hanany said. “This profile will help ensure we conduct a thorough and responsible search for the leader who will guide El Paso ISD forward.”
With the profile now finalized, TASB Executive Search Services will move into the next phase of the superintendent search, which includes recruiting and vetting candidates who meet the criteria established by the Board, by the end of the calendar year.
The district will continue to keep the community informed as the process advances.
