Voting stickers

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — Nov. 14, 2025) — Two talented El Paso ISD students have been recognized for their creativity and civic awareness after earning top placements in the El Paso County Elections Department’s 2025 “Future Voter” Sticker Design Contest.

Sophia Salas, a 4th grader at Coach Wally Hartley PK-8 School, earned 1st Place for her vibrant and imaginative sticker design. Francella Belén Marin, a 5th grader at Lamar Elementary School, earned 3rd Place for her inspiring entry celebrating the importance of voting.

Both students’ artwork stood out among submissions from across the county, demonstrating strong artistic skill and a thoughtful understanding of civic engagement.

Sophia and Francella will be formally recognized by the El Paso County Elections Department and the El Paso County Commissioners Court during a special ceremony next month. Students, their families, and representatives from their campuses have been invited to attend the event.

The annual “Future Voter” contest encourages local students to express the importance of civic participation through original artwork. Winning designs will be printed as official “Future Voter” stickers distributed by the Elections Department during upcoming election cycles.

El Paso ISD applauds Sophia and Francella for their remarkable accomplishment and extends congratulations to their teachers and families for supporting their artistic interests and civic learning.
