A Message from Dr. Brian Lusk, El Paso ISD Superintendent of Schools

Good morning El Paso ISD,

I still remember how it felt to walk into the elementary classroom on my first day as an educator, buoyed by optimism and purpose and with no illusions about the responsibility that rested on my shoulders. Educating our children is about more than lesson plans and curriculums – it is a chance to bring hope, to strengthen the future of communities, and ensure that the promise of opportunity and liberty that public education brings is delivered for every child.

I feel truly blessed that the three decades long journey that began in that elementary classroom has now brought me here, to serve as the Superintendent of this historic district.

Over the coming months, I am excited to spend time across our district, get to know our students, our teachers, our parents and families, our staff, and the community members

so, we can collaborate and have a clear path forward.

It doesn’t take long to see the immense pride and promise of El Paso, and I am thankful for the welcome El Pasoans have afforded me and am grateful to the El Paso ISD Board of Trustees for the opportunity to help author the next chapter in this storied district’s legacy. A chapter I hope will make us all feel empowered, included, and even prouder.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brian Lusk
