(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — Jan. 6, 2026) — El Paso High School student Mia Navarro continues to shine on the national stage after being crowned Teen Miss Earth USA at the national Miss Earth USA competition, which concluded January 3 in Orlando, Florida.
Navarro, who previously earned the title of Teen Miss Earth Texas, advanced to the national level and emerged as the top teen titleholder in the country. As Teen Miss Earth USA, Navarro will now serve as a national ambassador for the Miss Earth organization, promoting environmental awareness, community service, and positive youth leadership. The role aligns closely with her existing platform, which focuses on environmental advocacy and educating others about issues such as air pollution.

“This crown represents not only a dream come true but also the countless hours dedicated to my platform, ‘Healing Without Harm.’ It symbolizes a promise to continue advocating for compassionate change, proving that with dedication, we can make a profound difference in our world," Navarro said.
Navarro’s national title builds on an already impressive list of accomplishments. In addition to her pageant success, she has twice walked the runway at New York Fashion Week and continues to pursue opportunities in modeling and fashion journalism — all while remaining an active student at El Paso High School.
Beyond the spotlight, Navarro credits her school community, teachers, and family for supporting her journey. A proud Tiger, she attended Mesita Elementary and Wiggs Middle School before enrolling at El Paso High, where she says she values the friendships and sense of belonging she finds on campus.
Her achievements are also rooted in resilience. After losing her father in a tragic accident three years ago, Navarro has used her experiences as motivation to pursue her goals with purpose and determination, honoring her family through her success.
Navarro says her grandmother first introduced her to pageantry and has remained a guiding influence, encouraging both confidence and a strong commitment to education. With aspirations to one day work professionally in modeling and fashion journalism, she continues to balance academic responsibilities with growing national recognition.
Her success reflects the talent, perseverance, and leadership found in students across El Paso ISD.
