(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — Jan. 12, 2026) — During the recent water main break affecting parts of El Paso, El Paso ISD campuses were met with an outpouring of care, coordination, and support from district teams, school leaders, and community partners, all working together to ensure the well-being of students and staff.
Across affected campuses, principals and administrators went classroom to classroom, personally checking in with everyone and offering reassurance throughout the day. District teams assisted campuses by delivering bottled water directly to schools, ensuring students and staff had easy access to drinking water when needed. Classrooms were stocked with lines of bottled water, along with hand sanitizer, to support health and safety during the disruption.
The district also received support from community partners, including Fort Bliss, which provided water buffaloes to assist campuses during this time. These combined efforts reflected the strength of collaboration across El Paso ISD and the broader community, with a shared focus on keeping students safe, supported, and cared for.
