Mesita Elementary Girls on the Run students enjoy a celebration after they learn about the generous support from Academy Sports + Outdoors.
This Sunday, as we spend time with our families reflecting on a season of renewal and hope, it feels especially fitting as we celebrate the progress of our students and the sense of promise across our district.
April is the Month of the Military Child. We are honored to serve military-connected families every day, and this month provides a special opportunity to celebrate the resilience, sacrifice, and achievements of the more than 9,000 military-affiliated students in El Paso ISD.
There is growing momentum across our campuses as we head into the final stretch of the school year. Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a meeting of PTA delegates, where I was reminded that while our classrooms are the center of our universe, it is the collective support of parents, partners, and community members that helps our students thrive. From the trilingual excellence showcased at the Mesita GT Expo to the generous support of community partners like Portillo’s and Academy Sports + Outdoors, it is clear that when we invest in our students together, the results are truly world-class.
Registration for the upcoming school year opens April 1, and we look forward to welcoming new families into our community while continuing to support those already on this journey with us.

Planning with Purpose: The Citizens Bond Committee
We believe the most effective long-range plans are those shaped by the people they serve, which is why our Citizens Bond Committee is so vital to our future. This inclusive planning effort is designed to ensure our master plans reflect local priorities, enhance transparency, and strengthen the student experience for generations to come. By listening to the diverse perspectives of our committee members, we are building a foundation of shared responsibility and intentional growth. We invite the community to follow this collaborative process as we work together to define the priorities that will guide El Paso ISD forward.

Playoff Fever: Celebrating Our Soccer Stars
A massive congratulations to the Burges High School Boys Soccer team, who emerged victorious last week with a thrilling 1-0 win over Trimble Tech. With that win, the Mustangs have officially punched their ticket to the Elite 8!

While we rally behind Burges, we also want to recognize the incredible seasons of our other playoff contenders. A huge shout-out goes to the Coronado and Bowie boys' teams for their deep runs into the regional rounds, as well as the El Paso High and Burges girls' programs. You represented the 915 with pride and reminded us all why EPISD soccer is a force to be reckoned with.
