(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — April 1, 2026) — El Paso ISD will open online registration for the 2026–27 school year on April 1, with enrollment available for both new and returning students across all grade levels.
District officials said the annual registration period includes access to early childhood programs, specialized elementary academies, early college pathways, and centralized enrollment support designed to help families navigate school options and services.
“Every student deserves access to opportunities that match their interests and goals,” said Superintendent Dr. Brian Lusk. “Registration is where that journey begins, and we are committed to supporting families every step of the way.”
Family Help Desk Provides Centralized Enrollment Support
To assist families through the registration process, the district will continue operating its Family Help Desk, a centralized service offering direct support with enrollment, school selection, and program information.
The Help Desk provides step-by-step assistance with completing registration, connects families to campus tours, and answers questions related to transportation, student services, and academic pathways. Staff are available to help families identify programs aligned with student interests and long-term goals.
Support is available in English and Spanish. The district states that all inquiries receive a response within 48 hours.
Families can contact the Help Desk by phone at 915-230-2581, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by email at familyhelpdesk@episd.org.
Free, Full-Day Pre-K Programs Continue Districtwide
El Paso ISD will continue offering free, full-day Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 programs for eligible students at campuses across the district.
The programs are led by state-certified teachers trained in early childhood education and use a play-based curriculum designed to support early literacy, language development, and social-emotional growth. District officials said the expansion of full-day options is intended to provide both academic preparation and consistency for working families.
Elementary Academies Offer Early Access to Specialized Learning
At the elementary level, El Paso ISD offers a range of specialized academic programs that introduce students to focused areas of study beginning in early grades.
These include STEM and STEAM academies featuring hands-on learning in robotics and engineering at campuses such as Cooley, Clendenin, Moye, and Bobby Joe Hill PK-8; a Connecting Worlds/Mundos Unidos academy at Mesita that empowers students with a trilingual English-Spanish-Mandarin education; a fine arts program at Crockett Elementary affiliated with the Kennedy Center; environmental science programming at Western Hills Elementary focused on desert ecosystems and sustainability; and Montessori programs at Dr. Green and Moreno Elementary that emphasize student-directed learning.
District officials said these academies are designed to allow students to explore interests early while maintaining strong academic foundations.
Early College and Career Pathways Offer College Credit and Industry Credentials
At the secondary level, El Paso ISD offers Early College High Schools, Career & Technical Education, P-TECH, National Education Opportunity Network (NEON), and UT OnRamps programs that allow students to earn college credit and industry-recognized certifications while completing high school.
Students enrolled in Early College programs can graduate with both a high school diploma and up to 60 college credit hours. P-TECH pathways provide work-based learning and certification opportunities in fields including healthcare, computer science, education, and business.
District officials estimate these programs can represent thousands of dollars in future tuition savings for participating students.
The district also continues efforts to expand access to Algebra I in eighth grade, helping ensure more students are prepared for advanced mathematics and future college and career pathways.
District Emphasizes Comprehensive Student Experience
In addition to academic programming, El Paso ISD offers a range of extracurricular and support services, including athletics, fine arts, special education services, and social- emotional supports.
District leaders said the goal is to provide a comprehensive educational experience that supports both academic achievement and student development.
Online registration for the 2026–27 school year opens April 1 at episd.org/register.
