(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – May 28, 2026) — The countdown is officially on for the El Paso ISD Class of 2026! Across the district, students, families, and educators are preparing to celebrate one of life’s biggest milestones as graduation ceremonies begin in early June.
This year’s graduating class has already made its mark. From Early College and P-TECH students earning college degrees before receiving their high school diplomas to hundreds of students entering the workforce with industry certifications, the Class of 2026 represents the future of El Paso.
To help families prepare for graduation season, El Paso ISD has created this guide with important ceremony information, security reminders, and the full graduation schedule.
Important Safety and Entry Information
Most El Paso ISD graduation ceremonies will take place at the UTEP Don Haskins Center. Guests attending ceremonies at the venue are reminded that UTEP Athletics enforces a Clear Bag Policy to help ensure a safe and efficient entry process. El Paso High School will also follow UTEP's Clear Bag Policy.
Approved Bags
• Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags
• Small clutch bags approximately 4.5” x 6.5” or smaller
• Necessary medical bags (subject to inspection)
Prohibited Items
Guests should leave the following items at home or in their vehicles:
• Balloons
• Air horns and artificial noisemakers
• Umbrellas
• Laser pointers
• Outside food or beverages (except one sealed plastic water bottle)
• Tripods and selfie sticks
• Strollers and car seats
District officials also ask families to help maintain a respectful atmosphere during ceremonies so every graduate and family can fully enjoy the moment.
Families are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking and security screening.
