EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – May 29, 2026) — El Paso ISD is inviting families from across the Borderland to discover exciting career pathways, hands-on learning experiences, and future-ready opportunities during the upcoming CCTE Palooza Open House at the Center for Career & Technology Education (CCTE).
The event will take place Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CCTE campus and will feature interactive demonstrations, campus tours, family activities, food, and opportunities for students to explore a wide variety of career fields offered through El Paso ISD’s Career and Technical Education programs.
Designed primarily for middle school and high school students, CCTE Palooza gives families an inside look at how El Paso ISD is preparing students for high-demand careers through real-world learning experiences, industry certifications, and hands-on instruction.
“CCTE Palooza is an opportunity for students and families to see firsthand how education can directly connect to future careers and lifelong success,” said Principal Nick DeSantis. “We want students to begin exploring their passions early and understand the many opportunities available to them through El Paso ISD.”
During the event, families will have the opportunity to:
Tour the CCTE campus and specialized learning labs
Meet instructors and current students
Participate in hands-on activities and program demonstrations
Learn about industry certifications and career pathways
Ask questions about enrollment and student opportunities
Enjoy food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities
CCTE programs provide students with practical experience and career-focused training in a variety of industries, helping prepare them for both college and the workforce. Programs are built around El Paso ISD’s Path-to-Prosperity Pledge, which focuses on equipping students with the experience, knowledge, skills, and credentials needed to thrive in their chosen careers.
District leaders say early exposure to career pathways is essential in helping students make informed decisions about their academic futures and long-term goals.
