(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 25, 2026) — For more than 40 years, the El Paso ISD Print & Copy Center has been the unsung, creative engine of the district. The dedicated team of artists and technicians work tirelessly each day to produce high-quality materials that support classrooms, celebrate student milestones, and keep the Borderland community connected.
But the Print Shop is far more than just paper and ink. It’s a place where community pride is designed, manufactured, and delivered.
For Graphic Artist Hope Rodriguez, the most rewarding part of her job is seeing how her designs impact lives outside the district's administrative walls. Recently, she wrapped up a project for Irvin High School aimed at showcasing the campus's legendary alumni.
“It feels good to be a part of this project because it helps our schools and showcases the great things about them,” Rodriguez said. “It’s very rewarding to see our work out there.”
Her impact stretches even further into the community. Rodriguez recalls a special collaboration with the El Paso Children’s Hospital that reminded her of the true power of graphic design.
“When we saw our designs making the kids happy, it made me feel really good to know that our work is bringing positivity to different people out in the community,” Rodriguez shared. “We take pride in our work, and we have a fast turnaround. We do custom work. But above all that, we have friendly staff, and our customer service is excellent.”
Currently, the Print Shop team is hard at work transforming the campus environment at Clendenin Elementary School, installing vibrant, custom graphic designs on the school's windows.
For Graphic Artist Tiffany Walker, these campus transformations hit incredibly close to home.
“It feels great that our work is helping students around the district,” Walker said. “I have kids at El Paso ISD, and when I see not only their campus but other campuses with our designs, it makes me feel good that I am making a difference.”
The team's work even stretches directly into the curriculum. Recently, a local pizza company partnered with the Print Shop to create a large, custom-cut model of a pizza. The goal? To provide a visual tool to help young students master fractions and math.
Walker notes that it’s great to see their daily design work seamlessly extend into active classroom education.
