Dear El Paso ISD Community,
The halls are filled with energy once again, our classrooms are buzzing with excitement, and our students and staff are officially back for the start of the 2026–27 school year.
This morning, I had the privilege of visiting multiple campuses across the district to welcome our students, families and staff in person. Seeing the joy on our students' faces, the dedication of our teachers, and the tireless preparation of our campus staff reminded me why we do what we do. From our youngest learners stepping into Pre-K to our seniors beginning their final year, there is an incredible sense of momentum and possibility across the Borderland. Our team has worked tirelessly all summer to ensure our schools are safe, welcoming, and fully prepared to provide an exceptional educational experience from day one.
Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, parents, and community members for making today a massive success. Let's make this an unforgettable school year!
Sincerely,
Dr. Brian Lusk Superintendent of Schools
