A MESSAGE FROM DIANA SAYAVEDRA

Dear El Paso ISD,

As we approach the Fourth of July holiday, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for all the hard work and dedication each of you has shown throughout the year. This holiday offers us a chance to pause, spend time with loved ones, and reflect on the freedoms we cherish as a nation.

The Fourth of July is more than just a day off work; it is a celebration of our country's independence and the values that unite us. I encourage you all to take this time to recharge, enjoy the festivities, and reflect on the meaning of this significant day.

As a reminder, our offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5. We will reopen on Monday, July 8.

In preparation for the upcoming school year, I am excited to announce that El Paso ISD will welcome several new principals across our schools. We look forward to the positive changes and fresh perspectives they will bring to our district. Their leadership will undoubtedly inspire our students and staff to reach new heights. More information can be found on our website.

Additionally, we are pleased to introduce the new directors of our Special Education Department. Dr. Domingo Jauregui and Jorge Ernesto Saenz have a wealth of experience working in the special education field. Their expertise and vision will be instrumental in enhancing our programs and providing exceptional support to our students with special needs. We anticipate great strides in this area under their guidance.

I also want to take a moment to commend the Austin High School Student Council, who have been honored with the prestigious 2024 National Gold Council of Excellence award by the National Association of Student Councils. This recognition reflects their outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the positive impact they have on our school community.

Remember, our online registration process is currently open. Click this link to find out more information about the registration process, bus route schedules, the new school finder site, and more.

Once again, I wish you all a wonderful and safe Fourth of July. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students and our district.

It Starts With Us.

Sincerely,

Diana Sayavedra
