The sky is the limit for our students as they explore high-flying careers at Franklin High School’s 2nd Annual P-TECH Palooza!
Hello Team,
There is a distinct sense of pride moving through our campuses right now, not just for the work being done today, but for the future we are inviting families to be a part of.
Our 2026-27 Registration remains in full swing, and it has been inspiring to see so many families choosing El Paso ISD as their home for the upcoming year. But while we look toward the future, we are also focused on the "here and now."
Our state testing period continues this week. To our students: take a deep breath and trust in the preparation you’ve put in all year. You’ve got the grit, the talent, and the support of this entire district behind you!
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who "Purpled Up" last Friday. Seeing our campuses flooded with purple to honor our military-connected families was a powerful reminder of the community and gratitude that define us.

Burges High School Leads the State
In the world of Texas student leadership, all roads now lead to El Paso! At the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) state conference, Burges High School was officially elected as the President School for the 2026-2027 school year.
Representing this historic appointment is junior Alexandra “Lexi” Rosales, who will serve as the presiding officer for the TASC State Board. Lexi’s journey to a statewide leader is a testament to the "well-rounded" experience we strive to provide every child.
We also want to celebrate our other TASC stars:
Maya Herrera & Catalina Gutierrez: Awarded two of only five state-wide senior scholarships.
Carolina Jacquez-Gonzalez: Earned a "Top Project" award for the Take Back the Night initiative.
Mia Bautista, Herrera, & Gutierrez: Named "Lone Star Seniors," placing them among the top 50 student leaders in the Texas Class of 2026.

Students and families explored pathways that bridge the gap between high school and successful medical careers. From student performances and food trucks to a special visit from the El Paso Fire Department helicopter, the event showcased how our P-TECH programs make career preparation both rigorous and engaging!
