(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – April 22, 2025) — El Paso ISD is proud to announce the exceptional campus and department educators and staff members honored as winners of the 2024-25 Teacher of the Year and Education Support Personnel of the Year awards. These individuals exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, and positive impact on our students and community. Being selected as a finalist for these prestigious recognitions is a significant achievement within the district.
“This honor holds great significance as it reflects the admiration and appreciation of colleagues, students, and families,” said Superintendent Diana Sayavedra. “Our finalists embody the spirit of our district. Their dedication to inspiring excellence and supporting every student's journey is what makes El Paso ISD truly exceptional. I am proud to celebrate their accomplishments.”
Finalists were nominated through a campus-wide selection process that involved input from teachers, staff, and—in some cases—students. Those eligible include classroom teachers, librarians, and counselors who dedicate a majority of their day to direct instruction. Each campus followed nomination criteria designed to ensure fairness and integrity throughout the process.
Winners of the Teacher of the Year and Education Support Personnel of the Year will be revealed during a districtwide celebration on Thursday, May 22, where El Paso ISD will honor the extraordinary contributions these individuals have made in our schools and across the community.
