FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES THE CLASS OF 2026
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 08, 2026) — Franklin High School celebrated the accomplishments of 647 graduates during commencement exercises for the Class of 2026, recognizing a group of students who have excelled academically, athletically, artistically, and through service to their community.
Franklin High School has long been recognized for academic excellence and a commitment to student success. Since opening its doors in 1993, the campus has built a reputation for preparing students to thrive in college, careers, and beyond.
Leading the Class of 2026 was Valedictorian Fernando Marranzini, while Hamed Ahmad earned the distinction of Salutatorian. Ahmad was also recognized as the school's All-Boy graduate, while Avigail Alaniz was named Franklin's All-Girl graduate.
"Watching the Class of 2026 reach this milestone has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. These graduates have shown resilience, determination, and a commitment to excellence that reflects the values of Franklin High School," said Principal Amanda Bowser. "While we will miss seeing them on campus, we know they are prepared to achieve great things and make a positive difference wherever life takes them."
Throughout their time at Franklin, students challenged themselves through rigorous coursework, extracurricular involvement, leadership opportunities, and community engagement. The campus mission — to do what is right for students every day — has guided generations of Cougars and continues to shape the educational experience for every learner.
As they prepare to begin the next chapter of their lives, members of the Class of 2026 leave Franklin High School equipped with the knowledge, skills, and determination to pursue their goals and make a positive impact on their communities.
