TARDY POLICY
All students are expected to be in their class by the time the tardy bell rings. Students are to be seated
and ready to start class.
TARDY SWEEPS
Will be conducted by administration once a week to ensure students are getting to class on time. If a
student is caught in a tardy sweep, he/she will be assigned lunch detention.
TEACHER EXPECTATIONS
During transition teachers are expected to:
• Monitor students at your classroom door and in the halls
• Keep a tardy log
• Contact Parents
• Meet with students
Chronic Tardy’s discuss with student Administrator
TARDY CONSEQUENCES…
• Lunch detention will be assigned to students with excessive tardies
• ISS
• Admin Meeting/w Parent
• 45-day Attendance plan
• Parking permits and Senior OK-Campus privileges may also be revoked for excessive tardies
• Tardies will impact a student's eligibility for attendance incentives
Note: There will be no reimbursement for parking costs if a student loses this privilege due to
unexcused tardiness
STUDENTS W/ NO TARDIES
• Participation of Early Release Lunch every 3 wks.
• Name entered in Drawing at end of 9wks
