EPISD cross country

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — Oct. 30, 2025) - Twelve talented El Paso ISD student-athletes have qualified to compete at the UIL State Cross Country Championships, representing the district at the highest level of competition in Texas.

Cross CountryThe state meet will take place Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas, where runners from across the state will test their endurance, determination, and skill on one of the most competitive courses in the nation.

This year’s state qualifiers reflect the strength and depth of El Paso ISD’s cross country programs:

Austin High School: Luis Pereda (4A)

El Paso High School: Andrew Truax (5A)

Coronado High School: Rodrigo Pinales, Humberto Serna (6A)

Franklin High School: Emily Orr, Mike Villa, Richard Mendoza, Bryant Standage, Jacob Martinez, Frankie Medina, Sebastian Mendez, Sebastian Camacho (6A)
