New Elementary Academies Bring Innovative Learning Experiences
El Paso ISD is proud to announce the launch of specialized academies at select elementary campuses for the 2025-26 school year. These academies will immerse students in hands-on learning opportunities focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), Fine Arts, and Environmental Science.

Academy Highlights
STEM & STEAM Academies (Cooley Elementary, Clendenin Elementary, and Bobby Joe Hill PK-8): Students will explore interactive STEM concepts through LEGO robotics, engineering kits, and Smithsonian STEAM Readers.
Environmental Science Academy (Western Hills Elementary): Students will have the opportunity to participate in sustainability projects relevant to our desert region through hands-on environmental learning experiences.
Fine Arts Academy (Crockett Elementary): This academy, in collaboration with the Kennedy Center, offers a dynamic program in dance, music, theater, and art education.
Connecting Worlds (Mesita ECDC and Mesita Elementary): Students will benefit from an immersive learning experience through our Dual Language Bilingual Education program.

FREE All-Day Pre-K3 and Pre-K4*
El Paso ISD is now accepting registrations for the 2025-26 school year, offering free Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 programs for eligible students districtwide. These early childhood programs provide a nurturing, play-based learning environment designed to lay a strong foundation for lifelong academic success.
Through a guaranteed and viable curriculum, El Paso ISD emphasizes early literacy, math, and problem-solving skills through interactive and engaging activities. Each Pre-K class is led by a certified teacher, trained in early childhood education, ensuring that every student receives high-quality instruction. The program fosters confidence, independence, and essential social skills to prepare students for success in school and beyond.
*Eligibility and Details
Pre-K3: Available to children who turn 3-years-old on or before September 1, 2025.
Free Pre-K3 is offered to eligible students.
Tuition-based Pre-K3 is available for families who do not meet eligibility requirements.
Pre-K4: Free for all children who turn 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2025.

Algebra-for-All: Empowering Students for Future Success
El Paso ISD’s Algebra-for-All program equips students with an early start in advanced mathematics, paving the way for academic and career achievements. Research indicates that students who complete advanced math courses are more likely to earn college degrees and experience higher earning potential in their careers.
Through this initiative, all 8th-grade students will enroll in Algebra I, creating a strong foundation for pursuing Dual Credit, Advanced Placement (AP), and other advanced math courses in high school. EPISD is committed to preparing all 6th and 7th graders for Algebra I through accelerated curriculum with embedded supports.

P-TECH Program: Earn Industry Certifications and Jumpstart Your Career
El Paso ISD’s Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools (P-TECH) program provides students with a tuition-free opportunity to graduate with a high school diploma, an associate degree from El Paso Community College (EPCC), and an industry-based certification, all while gaining real-world experience through partnerships with local businesses.
Designed to prepare students for high-demand, high-wage careers, the P-TECH program is offered at several El Paso ISD high schools, with specialized pathways in the following fields:

Early College High Schools
El Paso ISD’s Early College High Schools (ECHS) offer students a unique opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree (or up to 60 college credit hours) at no cost! Through a partnership with El Paso Community College (EPCC), students take rigorous, dual-credit courses that accelerate their path to higher education.
Our Early College High Schools include:
Burges Early College High School – A unique program allowing students to start college in 9th grade while enjoying athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities.
Transmountain Early College High School – Located on EPCC’s Transmountain campus, students can choose between an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree pathway.
Students receive personalized academic support, free transportation, and a head start on their college and career goals.
