Dear BJH Parents, 😊
At Bobby Joe Hill PK–8, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. In support of this commitment, El Paso ISD has implemented a new student ID system to strengthen identification and campus safety. This initiative is mandated by our Superintendent, Dr. Brian Lusk.
Here’s what you need to know:
Elementary Students
Elementary students will keep their ID badges in their classrooms. This helps prevent them from being forgotten or misplaced, since younger students are more likely to lose them.
Middle School Students
Middle school students are responsible for carrying and wearing their ID badges daily.
🪪 ID Badge Expectations
All students must always wear their ID badge and Bobby Joe Hill lanyard while on campus. ID badges and lanyards must be kept neat—no writing, stickers, folding, or swapping lanyards.
Wearing IDs helps our staff quickly identify students and keep everyone safe
❗ Forgotten or Lost ID Badges
If a student forgets or misplaces their ID badge:
They may call home for a family member to bring the ID, or
They may replace it for a $5 fee
If a student is unable to bring or replace their ID, they will serve after-school detention from 3:00–3:30 PM that same day.
Campus Safety Measures
Bobby Joe Hill PK–8 maintains multiple layers of security, including:
Parent/visitor ID verification at the entry point
A sign-in protocol for all visitors
Student ID badges worn on a lanyard and displayed at all times
Additionally, staff conduct ID checks each morning upon arrival and throughout the school day to ensure every student is properly identified and belongs on our campus.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our BJH community safe and secure. If you have any questions, please call the front office at 915-236-5375.
We appreciate your partnership! 💙✨
