Dr. Aranda

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — Feb. 3, 2026) — El Paso ISD has named Dr. Elisa Aranda as the new principal of Coach Wally Hartley PK–8 School, bringing experienced leadership and a strong commitment to student success to the campus.

Dr. Aranda brings a deep background in public education and a passion for fostering high-quality instruction, collaborative school cultures, and meaningful family engagement. Throughout her career, she has served in various leadership roles focused on strengthening teaching and learning while supporting the whole child.

“I am honored to join the Coach Wally Hartley PK–8 community,” said Dr. Aranda. “I look forward to working alongside students, staff, and families to build on the school’s strengths and ensure every student is supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed.”

In recognition of her leadership and service, Dr. Aranda was recently named the 2026 Region 19 TEPSAN of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA), an honor awarded annually to principals who exemplify excellence in PK-8 education.
