Healthy Meals

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 02, 2026) — This summer, El Paso ISD’s Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) will provide nutritious meals at no cost to children ages 1–18, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. These meals are offered through the Seamless Summer Option (SSO), a U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition program administered in Texas by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).

For children who rely on school meals during the academic year, this program ensures continued access to nutritious food during the summer months, supporting their health and well-being until school resumes.

“We encourage all families in El Paso to take advantage of our Summer Meals Program and bring their children to enjoy nutritious meals at no cost,” said Laura Eggemeyer, Director of Food and Nutrition Services. “These meals help support our community by ensuring every child has access to the nutrition they need to stay active and thrive throughout the summer.”

Summer meals will begin Monday, June 8 at select locations across the district.
