Anthony Sanchez has been teaching history and coaching boys’ basketball for 19 years. Over this time, he has taught every history course. This is his second year teaching dual credit education. His favorite parts of high school were spending time with friends, participating in organizations and clubs like student council, and playing sports. He decided to become a teacher because he realized it would give him the best opportunity to coach basketball. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his kids, fishing, and watching other sports. He graduated from Irvin High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Western New Mexico University, where he also played basketball. Later, he earned his master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. A quote Mr. Sanchez values is, “Do something good or positive for someone else every day,” by Jesse White.
