(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – December 4, 2024) — El Paso ISD has been recognized for its innovative Trend Walks program as part of Texas School Business magazine’s 18th Annual Bragging Rights 2024-25 special issue. This prestigious recognition highlights school districts across Texas that have implemented exceptional programs improving the lives of students, schools, and communities.
Trend Walks are an innovative initiative by El Paso ISD designed to enhance safety, engagement, and student well-being while ensuring the district's academic initiatives are making a meaningful impact on student outcomes. During Trend Walks, campus administrators and key staff visit classrooms, hallways, and other areas to observe patterns in behavior, identify emerging trends, and gather insights to inform proactive decision-making. These walks encourage real-time problem-solving, foster collaboration between educators and students, and provide an opportunity to highlight successes or offer support where needed.
“Trend Walks are a vital tool for ensuring our academic initiatives are making a meaningful impact in the classroom,” said Al Garcia, Chief Academic Officer of El Paso ISD. “By partnering with principals and staff, we can identify successes, address challenges, and provide the support needed to foster growth and improve outcomes for all students.”
Each year, the Bragging Rights issue, published every December, celebrates districts that demonstrate creativity and excellence. El Paso ISD joins 11 other districts honored for their impactful initiatives, including:
Conroe ISD, Winter Catalog
