Dear Parents,
If you would like to refer your child for testing in our Gifted and Talented (GT) Program, please complete the referral form using the QR code or link provided on the flyer. Referrals are open for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
📌 Important Notes:
2nd grade students do not need a referral, as all students in 2nd grade (unless already identified as GT) will be tested automatically.
The referral deadline is October 31st.
Testing will begin in November for referred students in grades 1st–5th.
Kindergarten referrals will be tested in January.
Students who score at a high level on their MAPS assessment may also be invited to test.
📅 GT Informational Meeting
We invite you to join us during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, September 16th at 5:15 PM in the community room to learn more about the GT Program.
🎯 GT Project Requirements:
Grades 1st–5th: Two GT projects to be presented at our GT Fair in May 2026
Kindergarten: One GT project to be presented at the GT Fair

El Paso ISD Board of Trustees and Interim Superintendent Martha Aguirre were thrilled to recognize the first cohort to complete the Holdsworth Empower Fellowship leadership program for aspiring principals. The goal of the program is to strengthen El Paso ISD’s leadership pipeline, developing assistant principals into leaders who are ready and equipped to successfully lead our schools.
