Summer Meals Program

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – May 29, 2025) — This summer, El Paso ISD's Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) will provide healthy, no-cost meals to children aged 1-18, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. These meals are made available through the Seamless Summer Option (SSO), a U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition program managed in Texas by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). For children who depend on school meals during the academic year, this program ensures continued access to nutritious food throughout the summer break.

“El Paso children need good nutrition year-round so they can learn, grow and succeed in life,” said Laura Duran, FNS Director. "With nearly 2 million food insecure children living in Texas, these healthy meals are vital to nourishing young Texans during the summer vacation."
