EPISD Student Council Group

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – April 2, 2025) – El Paso ISD students took center stage and showcased their leadership on a statewide platform during the 2025 Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) conference, held in Arlington, Texas. With Burges and Coronado High School serving as official hosts, the event was a true districtwide effort, featuring outstanding contributions from schools across El Paso ISD. From coordinating key sessions to delivering inspiring performances, El Paso ISD students made an unforgettable impact at one of the biggest high school events in the state. The students demonstrated the district’s unwavering commitment to leadership, service, and the arts.

Student Council Event"Representing El Paso ISD on such a big stage was an incredible experience," said Giuliana Daniels, a senior at Coronado High School. "We worked so hard to make this conference unforgettable, and seeing our efforts pay off was truly rewarding. We hope our fellow student leaders left feeling empowered to push their limits and reach new heights." 

El Paso ISD’s leadership at the conference extended beyond the student councils. Superintendent Diana Sayavedra was invited to speak at the event, where she addressed the importance of fostering a culture of leadership, collaboration, and innovation in schools. 

"It was inspiring to see our students take charge of such a prestigious event," said Superintendent Sayavedra. "El Paso ISD is committed to providing students with opportunities to lead, grow, and make an impact. The dedication and hard work of our student councils were evident in every aspect of this conference, and I couldn’t be prouder."
