Rusk's PE Parent Play Day As this school year begins, we would like to present more opportunities to come to Rusk and enjoy some family fitness time with you child. We would like to invite you to come to the Rusk Gym and be a part of our AUGUST ā€œBACK TO FOOTBALLā€ RUSK PARENT PLAY DAY on Friday, August 30th! We encourage you and your child to wear your favorite sports jersey to school to celebrate the return of Football season to EPISD with the El Paso High vs. Austin Claw Game on Friday, August 30th @ EPHS @ 7 pm. We inviting you to join and watch and/or participate and see what your child is doing and learning in P.E. class. You are more than welcome to exercise with your child as much as youā€™d like or just watch. Coach will have several games and activity stations that you can play and participate with your child. This is something that we know will be an enjoyable experience for your child, but more so YOU, the parents! If you do choose to participate, we encourage you to dress comfortably and bring water. Please no sports drinks or soft drinks of any kind, only bring water. We have listed the Rusk P.E. Schedule below so that you know what time your child comes out to P.E. El Paso ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Diana Sayavedra were thrilled to recognize two fine arts students for winning district and city competitions. Italia Esquivel from Burges High School obtained first place in the El Paso Regional Art Contest. Her artwork was selected out of 77 entries from the El Paso region. Shaheli De Silva from Young Womenā€™s Academy, earned a platinum medal at the Junior Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) competition. Her exemplary award is the highest award a middle school student can receive at the Junior VASE competition. #ItStartsWithUs
