(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — April 1, 2025) — Franklin High School’s P-TECH Medical Program is bringing the community together for a day of fun, learning, and healthcare awareness at its 1st Annual P-TECH Palooza—a unique carnival-style event designed to showcase student innovation and strengthen community connections.
The event, will take place on Friday, April 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. It will take place next to Franklin’s Magnet Center and will feature performances, interactive games, student-led activities, and exhibits from nearly 100 organizations, including UTEP, EPCC, TTUHSC, EPPD, and EPFD. The El Paso Fire Department will also bring a medical helicopter for attendees to explore.
Franklin’s P-TECH students have been at the heart of planning this event—designing games, coordinating with organizations, and ensuring a memorable experience for all.
Jefferson and Irvin High School’s P-TECH Medical Programs will also take part, giving families a closer look at the hands-on learning and career preparation these programs provide.
