(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – July 17, 2024) — The Gene Roddenberry Planetarium invites the community to explore the wonders of outer space.
The Planetarium is hosting a series of events over the summer that are open to people of all ages. Several topics related to our solar system will be discussed over the next few days.
“During the summer, we are open to the public, and so far, the attendance has been great,” said Denisse Arce, Planetarium Facilitator. “We’ve had people of all ages show up, from kids who come to see the lights and cool graphics to older people who just want to get out of the house and learn something.”
Each show is free to the public, but attendees need to collect their free tickets on https://www.ticketleap.events/events/roddenberryplanetarium.

July 18: Cosmic Adventure
July 22: Extreme Weather
July 23: Earth, Moon, and Sun
July 24: Somos Estrellas (presented entirely in Spanish)
July 25: Zula Patrol
The events begin at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to join the Roddenberry Planetarium for an educational and entertaining experience.
