*Important Wiggs NJHS News*

We are pleased to announce that applications for the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) will open on January 20, 2026. The application window will close on March 20, 2026.

Phase 1:
Students interested in applying must complete all of the following requirements:
1. Complete the online application found in the Wiggs NJHS page.

2. Submit two hard copy recommendation letters from adults outside of Wiggs Middle School. These include, but not limited to, teachers, mentors, tutors, coaches, youth group leaders, community service volunteer coordinators, scouting leaders, etc.

**Recommendation letters must be turned in only to Mrs. Orpinel or Mrs. Celis in rooms 303 or 309 . Please DO NOT email recommendation letters.
Complete 10 community service hours, which must be earned during the 2025 or 2026 calendar year.

Maintain an overall average of 93% or higher by the end of the third nine weeks.
Students and families are encouraged to review all requirements carefully and ensure that all materials are submitted by the deadline of March 20, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
