YOUNG WOMEN'S ACADEMY CLASS OF 2026 READY TO LEAD, INNOVATE, AND INSPIRE

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 08, 2026) — Graduates from Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy have crossed the stage to begin the next chapter of their journeys, carrying with them the skills, confidence, and leadership experiences developed at one of El Paso ISD's most unique schools.

As the district's only all-girls campus and the nation's first single-gender, New Tech Network Academy, Young Women's Academy has built a reputation for empowering students through rigorous academics, STEAM-focused learning, leadership development, and service to the community.

Leading the Class of 2026 are Valedictorian Marium Zahra and Salutatorian Madeleine Meza, whose academic achievements reflect the dedication and excellence demonstrated throughout the graduating class.

Several graduates have already earned prestigious scholarships and college opportunities, including:

• Ana Morera, who will attend The University of Texas at El Paso as a BUILDing Scholar
• Bellissa Marquez, who will attend the University of Denver as an EPCA Wayne Thornton Scholar
• Trinity Ontiveros, who will attend The University of Texas at El Paso as a FirstLight Scholar

Since opening in 2017, Young Women's Academy has focused on preparing students to become innovators, problem-solvers, and community leaders. Through Advanced Placement coursework, project-based learning, research opportunities, and mentorship experiences, students are challenged to apply classroom learning to real-world issues while developing confidence in their abilities.

“Today, our graduates leave with diplomas in hand, but more importantly, they leave knowing that their voices, their talents, and their dreams belong in every room where decisions are made and futures are shaped," said Principal Jennifer Arias.

The academy's emphasis on Trust, Respect, and Responsibility has helped students build strong academic foundations while fostering personal growth and civic engagement. Many graduates leave Young Women's Academy with experience in academic competitions, athletics, fine arts, community service, and leadership organizations.

As they prepare to take their next steps in higher education and beyond, the members of the Class of 2026 leave behind a lasting legacy of achievement and service.

El Paso ISD congratulates the graduates of Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy and wishes them continued success as they dream, design, and deliver solutions for a better world.
