With less than 27 days to go, now is the perfect time to finalize your enrollment and prepare for the first day of school on Monday, August 3, 2026! Great futures begin with a strong foundation, and at El Paso ISD, we are proud to offer early childhood options including free, full-day Pre-K3 and Pre-K4, Montessori, Fine Arts, Environmental, Dual Language, STEM, and STEAM Academies. You can click here to explore our early childhood learning programs and secure your child’s spot today. While you are finalizing your registration, be sure to also check out our official school supply lists so your student is fully equipped and ready to learn from the very first bell.
As we look ahead to the new year, we also want to share an important reminder regarding student attendance. Starting in the 2026-27 school year, please remember that students must now meet the state attendance requirement by attending at least 90% of the days a class is offered to receive course credit or a final grade. Applications Open for Board of Trustees Vacancies
El Paso ISD is seeking passionate, qualified community members to help guide our district. The Board of Trustees has approved an open, transparent process to appoint representatives to fill vacancies in District 6 (Franklin feeder pattern) and District 7 (Coronado feeder pattern). Selected applicants will serve until the May 2027 election.
Applications are being accepted through July 27, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., and student-led candidate forums will take place the week of August 3. Review eligibility requirements and access the application form here.
