U.S. Attorney Jaime Esparza, an alumnus of Burges High School, recently returned to the campus to participate in an interactive Q&A session with 200 seniors.
Joining him were two esteemed guests: Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Kristen Clarke, and Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legislative Affairs, Carlos Uriarte. Together, they shared invaluable insights, highlighting the importance of civic engagement and the impact students can make in their communities.

The El Paso Independent School District will hold a public meeting at 5:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the meeting will be conducted in-person or via videoconference, which will be audible to the Board and public and allow for two-way communication. The public may access this meeting through EPISD.org. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the El Paso Independent School District's rating on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST).
