El Paso ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Diana Sayavedra were thrilled to recognize two fine arts students for winning district and city competitions. Italia Esquivel from Burges High School obtained first place in the El Paso Regional Art Contest. Her artwork was selected out of 77 entries from the El Paso region. Shaheli De Silva from Young Women’s Academy, earned a platinum medal at the Junior Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) competition. Her exemplary award is the highest award a middle school student can receive at the Junior VASE competition. #ItStartsWithUs

This year promises new opportunities for growth, learning, and fun. Let’s embrace the challenges, celebrate our achievements, and support each other every step of the way. Together, we will make this school year successful and memorable! Dismissal routine reminders: PreKinder-2nd graders are dismissed at the Front Door to the school. Every child will be handed off one at a time. This may take a few minutes, so please be patient. 3rd - 5th graders are dismissed at the Campbell Exit and are allowed to walk home.
