ANDRESS HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2026 SOARS TOWARD BRIGHT FUTURES
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 08, 2026) — The pride of Northeast El Paso was on full display as 305 graduates from Andress High School crossed the stage to celebrate the culmination of years of hard work and achievement.
Leading the Class of 2026 are Valedictorian Evany Garcia, who plans to attend the University of Texas at El Paso, and Salutatorian Cassie Raya, who will continue her education at The University of Texas at Austin. Garcia was also recognized as one of the school's All-Andress students alongside Aifala Ti'A, an honor that recognizes outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service.
Among this year's accomplishments, three students earned Associate of Arts degrees through the school's P-TECH program, allowing them to graduate from high school with a college credential already in hand.
"We are proud of our Andress High School graduates," said Principal Ruben Alarcon. "Our students have shown resilience, determination, and a can-do attitude. We are confident these graduates will go on to do great work in our communities and beyond."
Founded in 1961, Andress High School has long been a cornerstone of the Northeast community. Named after attorney and education advocate Ted Andress, the campus has built a reputation for academic excellence, student leadership, and strong community pride.
Today, Andress continues to distinguish itself through its rigorous academic offerings. The campus leads traditional El Paso ISD high schools in students graduating with college credit hours and offers one of the district's most extensive dual credit programs. Students also excel in athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities that prepare them for success beyond graduation.
The Class of 2026 reflects the school's commitment to developing critical thinkers, problem solvers, and compassionate leaders. Whether pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, serving in the military, or exploring other opportunities, graduates leave Andress prepared to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
As the Golden Eagles take flight into their next chapter, they carry with them the traditions, values, and pride that have defined Andress High School for more than six decades.
