Did you know open enrollment starts April 1st? 🤔
The 25'-26' school year is almost over and we are so excited for the next!

🥳 We want to make open enrollment extra special this year with an incentive! Every child who is 100% enrolled by April 24th will get to adopt a new mini plush pet! We have everything from turtles to bunnies to choose from! 🐻🐶🐰

❓But what if I am attending middle school next year? Completed registration at your chosen middle school counts to pick out a fun new friend!

❓What if i'm not coming back for another reason? No problem! Just make sure to complete an exit survey with Ms. Del Real!

Plushies will be hand delivered to your child's classroom, all you have to do is enroll!

Dear Barron Families,

Today, our campus conducted a **lockdown drill**, and we are proud to share that it was **very successful**.

Our students did an excellent job following their teachers’ directions by remaining **quiet, calm, and seated in a safe area**. Their ability to respond appropriately is a direct reflection of the preparation and guidance provided by our staff.

We were also joined by local police officers, who **commended both our students and staff** for their cooperation, readiness, and overall performance during the drill. They shared that our campus demonstrated strong safety practices and preparedness.

At Barron, the **safety of our students is always our top priority**. We will continue to practice and reinforce these procedures to ensure that everyone is prepared in the event of an emergency.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our school safe.

With appreciation,

Barron Families,

We hope you had a wonderful and restful Spring Break filled with special moments with your loved ones. We are excited to welcome all of our Pioneers back to campus and continue the strong momentum we have built together this school year!

As we return, our focus remains on **high-quality instruction, strong routines, and student success**. Every day matters, and we are committed to ensuring that all students continue to grow and feel a strong sense of belonging at Barron.

Here are a few important reminders as we begin the week:

* ⏰ **Breakfast is served from 8:00–8:15 a.m.** Instruction begins promptly at 8:15. Please ensure your child arrives on time and ready to learn.
* 📚 Students should come prepared each day with all necessary materials and a positive mindset.
* 🔐 **Safety remains a top priority.** We will be conducting a safety lockdown drill this week and will prepare students in advance so they understand expectations.
* 📖 Our upper grade students (3rd–5th) will continue preparing for upcoming **STAAR assessments**, while all grade levels continue focused instruction and support.

We are entering an important time in the school year as we prepare for state assessments and continue to build on the progress our students have made. Your support at home—ensuring students are well-rested, on time, and ready to learn—makes a tremendous difference.

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. Together, we will continue to support our students in reaching their full potential.

We are excited to see our Pioneers back on campus tomorrow and ready to learn!
